Trolls

Thought to hail originally from Jotunheimr, Trolls inhabit Midgard but are extremely rare post-Ragnarök. They prefer deep forests, caves, and tunnels. Trolls sleep during the day, because sunlight will turn them to stone, and hunt at night. Human children are their favorite delicacy, if they can get them. Troll dens — places they've inhabited for a long while — can be easily identified through their oppressive stench, from a decent while off. Trolls are shorter than giants, though still twelve feet at the shortest, and don't resemble humans as much. Often, they look more like rock shapes hap-hazardly put together. For weapons, they use parts of trees pulled out of the ground. Not much is known about their social lives, but occasionally family groups seem to live together.
